Frequently Asked Questions
What is a drone light show?
A drone show is a choreographed drone movement equipped with bright LED panels, fireworks or other payloads suitable for light shows. Depending on the number of drones in a program, one can create formations up to 1 km wide and high. Drones can depict in the sky almost anything one can imagine, from modest silhouettes to giant moving 3D objects or even living portraits. Each drone has its own flight path designed to avoid collisions with all other drones and is controlled by a computer on the ground.
How much is a drone light show?
Multiple factors affect the price, such as the show’s content, drone quantity, event place and time, logistics, team accommodation, and even the drone show provider’s name. Be sure to contact us via email or this website as soon as possible to ensure you get additional information and discuss the details and services we can offer.
How to get a flight permit for a drone show?
We will guide you step by step through the procedure to get all the permits and licenses, as we have significant experience doing it with international partners.
How long are drone light shows?
A drone show lasts up to 18-20 minutes. Low temperatures or strong wind may shorten this to 14-16 minutes.
How many drones are required for my show?
Depending on the scale of the event, we recommend using 200-300 pieces for a private party, 500 drones for city-scale events, and 1,000+ drones for national-scale professional celebrations. Notice that the more UAVs you use, the more complex and detailed formations can be performed.
Is it possible to launch a drone show during rain and how will it affect the quality?
It depends on rain conditions. The flight manager makes the final decision; safety is always our priority. Fog and rain can also spoil the impression for spectators.
What wind conditions are acceptable for a launch?
Wind speed must not exceed five m/s.
How long does it take to organize a show?
The average preparation time is one month. However, if you contact us 2-3 months beforehand, there will be more time to get permits to create animation and music. We can prepare a show within 1-2 weeks or even faster on special occasions. This should be discussed with our managers.
I want the show to last longer; what should I do?
In that case, we can make two launches, one after another. Please contact us for more details.
How long does it take to set up onsite?
This depends mainly on the size of the show and how many drones are needed, but usually only 1-2 hours.
How high can a swarm fly?
Our drones operate at altitudes from 10 to 800 meters. The visibility range is up to 5 km.
Can drones fly above spectators?
Flight safety rules prohibit UAV flights above people.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have a comprehensive aviation liability insurance policy covering anything terrible that may happen, however unlikely.
What kind of visuals are possible with the drones?
Our dynamic shows can combine logos, shapes, imagery, and text.
What are the launch pad requirements?
The launch pad must be 200 meters from the main flight area. It must be even, with no high trees or buildings present nearby. The best options are a football field, beach, road, and parking lot. We can also take off from sophisticated sites, such as uneven ground and several sites of different forms. The launchpad may be farther than 200 meters, but the longer the distance, the shorter the creative part.
Can your drones take pictures or collect any data?
Our drones were explicitly designed for light shows. They do not have cameras or other sensors to gather, process, or store data.
Can a drone show be combined with a live performance?
Yes, live music or another sound design can accompany a drone show.
Is it legal to fly drones over roads and highways?
Our safety rules prohibit flying above people or moving vehicles. We can contact local authorities and request a temporary traffic block if necessary.
How many drones do I need for my event?
We suggest you contact our team and discuss the details, as the drone’s quantity depends on an animation and a budget.
Is it possible to fly above the water?
Sure, but it takes additional precautions.
